During the hours of 9 to 5, I work for a boutique SEO agency in North Park, San Diego. I’ve been there since October of 2008, and I really enjoy helping small (and sometimes big) businesses create a presence on the web. In March of 2010, I starting contributing to Holiday Matinee, a blog for creative inspiration that’s all about products and ideas that get us fired up, rad music and art, social good, and loving your work. When I’m not working, my hobbies include photography, riding my bike, reading, experiencing music in multiple settings, and touring local craft breweries. I’m inspired by vintage decor, wood furnishings, simple illustration, and bright, bold design. I also like people-watching, people’s opinions, and just people in general.
My dad always called me Monique the Geek when I was growing up, and it’s one of the better nouns that rhymes with my name. I don’t think he ever imagined it would turn into a {wildly successful} domain, but here we are! Hope you like it.
