I learned about Mike Maxwell at the Sezio 2 year anniversary party. Since I love beards and eye-catching colors, I was immediately drawn to his piece, and was curious to learn more about his work.

I enjoy reading artist blogs, and his is no exception. From radical street art and run-ins with the cops to adorable pics of his pup, Mike’s funny stories and knowledge of local artists are definitely awesome. He just finished painting a fantastic mural at the Hive, so make sure to check that out if you live in San Diego. Here’s a time lapse of the process, which is lots of fun to watch.
